Hilary Peacocke Le Mieux

Hilary is known for her pioneering work with dance in education and in the field of filmed dance. Hilary had a M.S. degree in Dance from the University of Wisconsin and was very much respected for her knowledge and teaching in the principles of choreography and production techniques. In 1969 she established and directed the Glendale College Dance Department in Los Angeles, California. It is now looked upon as one of the foremost tertiary dance departments in California, with a faculty that consists of twelve master teachers with international reputations and specialized expertise in areas of study covering the various aspects of the dance discipline. Hilary was the director and producer of the College Dance performances since their inception and was also the co-founder of the Glendale Repertory Dance Theatre.
