The annual Auckland Caledonia competition showcased outstanding NZ talent again this years winners of the Peacocke Dance Trust Ballet Award are; 1st - Katie Shi (pictured), 2nd - Lyn Lin and 3rd - Miguel Herrera.
XIII WRLD
Byrin & Kate, applied for assistance to take 6 dancers from the XIII WRLD team to compete at the Worlds Competition in Japan.
Myah Miranda
Myah Miranda, nominated by Nicola Blackburn, will attend the HHU World Champs in Portugal in 2023. The Trust supported Myah with a grant assisting flights, accommodation & travel costs.
Sofija Millic
Sofija Millic has been funded by the Dance Trust to create, develop and perform her debut choreographic work ‘Lick off my tears, Death is also dying” at the Fringe Festival.
Deborah Fletcher
Fiona Saunders applied on behalf of Deborah Fletcher, requesting the Dance Trust assist with paying the creatives involved in Deborah’s latest project “Our Jurisdiction’.
Tamati Graham
Assistance to study full time at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in Canada.
Paul Hawaikirangi
Dance trust funds will assist Paul to attend & compete on the world stage at Hiphop Unite International competition in Portugal.
Mele Tapueluelu
Support was applied for to attend and participate in the EBS Krump World Champions in Germany.
Eddie Elliot
Eddies required 3 weeks rehearsals to extend a current piece of work called ‘Intuition' into a full length performance, the grant includes assistance with flights, accommodation and payments to the dancer and choreographer for their time.
Meaghan Rowe
Applied to the Dance trust to fund payments of 4 x teachers fees for a Classical Collab Performance.
Kylah Ashwell
To represent NZ at the Hip Hop Champs in Portugal in 2023 Kylah applied for assistance with her flights to Europe.
Annabelle Yee
Dance trust funds enabled Annabelle to confirm her place at the Koninklijk Conservatorium (Royal Conservatoire - The Hague) as a part of the BA Dance Programme.
Josie Archer
In order to participate at 'Camping', a dance intensive hosted by Centre National de la Danse in Paris, Joisie applied to the trust for assistance with accommodation.
Benji Groen
Benji applied for assistance to attend the Royal Ballet Summer School in London.
Veronica Chengen Lyu
The Dance Trust grant covered flights and accommodation for Veronica while she participated at the SaikoNeon artistic Hub in Japan.

Bella Wilson
Zoe Nicholson nominated Bella Wilson's project called STRUCTURE. The Dance Trust funding assisted Bella to complete her first full length choregraphic work, paying the dancers involved for their time.
Samara Reweti
Won a schlorship to attend danceWEB in Vienna and the Make A Start residency programme hosted by Lucy Guerin. The Dance Trust funds covered Samara's flights for both opportunities.
Stella Byers
In her third year studying at the Palucca Hoschule fur Tanz, Dresden, Germany, the dance trust funds are contributing to Stella’s accommodation costs.
Aloalii Tapu
Born and raised in Otara, South Auckland Aloalii Tapu has been a dancer, mentor, teacher, lecturer, director, and choreographer in both Aotearoa and Europe. His expressions of his passion for this art form have been shared through performances on stage, through design/film and text; reflecting his perspective of the world in relation to time, space and his community. Funding from the Peacocke Dance Trust will assist in the payment of the talent involved in the project, flights, accommodation and production/design costs of new work directed by Aloali’i Tapu that will premiere in Hamburg, Germany, March 2023.

Holly Finch and Oli
Holly Finch and Oli successfully auditioned to train with Canadian Choreographer Crystal Pite and perform his work '10 Duets on a theme of Rescue’ at the ‘Perth Festival’ February 2023. Support from the Peacocke Dance Trust will go towards their flights and accomodation enabling them to participate in STRUT DANCE.

Ophelia Grimshaw-Jones
Ophelia has been accepted into the San Francisco Ballet with a scholarship to their Summer School, funding from the Dance Trust will assist her to travel and stay near to the school.
Mele Taeiloa
Projekt Team is a street dance collective, Dance Trust funds will allow crew to attend the Radikal Forze Jam in Vietnam, so their community can take part in international events, battles and workshops.
Olivia Platt
Funding from the Dance Trust will go towards Olivia's Tuition Fees at the New Zealand School of Dance for the 2023 school year.
Onera Beck
Onera uses dance to convey stories that she is unable to tell in words, her journey of dance has been with her from a young age and her after successful application to the Dance Trust her passion and study of dance continues at the University of Auckland - Bachelor of Dance.
AKL Caledonian Dancing Society
The pandemic creating a long pause for this long standing national competition pulling dancers from all over NZ in a range of dance styles and genres. The Dance trust sponsored the overall event winners prize pool, the winners performed to a wonderfully high standard of performance.
Monica Brosnahan
After a successful dancing career, Monica's love of dance has moved her towards teaching and giving back to the next generation of New Zealanders. With the Dance Trust’s support Monica will train in the RAD post graduate teaching certificate.
Sienna Going
Sienna applied to the Dance Trust after her acceptance to continue her studies at the Academy Princesse Grace de Monaco.
Elizabeth Cocks
The Dance Trust supported Elizabeth's first full length choreographic works titled “Daughters of Willow” with funds to cover the studio hire for rehearsals and payments for the dancers involved.
Kit Reilly
Kit is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, music composer and dance filmmaker, Kit was offered a solo choreographic residency at Orsolina 28 in Moncalvo, Italy which the Dance Trust assisted Kit to attend.
Joshua Faleatua
Joshua is one of the directors of Threading Frames an emerging dance and film company that was created out of his love of art. Funding from the Dance Trust assisted in the creation of two pieces of work “A Delicate Blend” which brings to life the moments when two people meet and 'Behind the Canvas'
Jacob Reynolds
Jacob is passionate about so many elements when it comes to dancing and choreography, including the ways that dance can connect and inspire people. Support from the Peacocke Dance Trust will part fund Jacob’s 2022 work titled ‘Münster” which explore’s the relationships between people and power.
Holly Finch
Holly's passion for dance is rooted in her love of music and storytelling. Her choreographic practice draws from a diverse range of styles/techniques, and is driven by the exciting possibilities these intersections allow. The funding from the Peacocke Dance Trust will fund Holly's short film titled 'LENSES’ which will be presented by Tempo Dance Festival within the 'Bloom' programme 2022
Lukas Maher
Acceptance for Lukas Maher into the full time Australian Ballet School programme after years of being part of the International/Interstate Training Programme gives Lukas the opportunity to join other male dancers who have the same aspirations and passion for ballet. Lukas will maximise his time overseas to progress and excel in the world of Ballet.
Loren Kitto
Loren is a dance choreographer from Christchurch who specialises in Hip-hop and it's surrounding styles. Loren was asked to appear as a guest at the "Spotlight" show series in Wellington, taking with her a performance group that consisted of 10 female dancers who are all currently pursuing their own professional careers in dance.
Ona Fraser
Ona has been accepted into the NZ Diploma in Commercial Dance at Te Auaha for the 2022 school year. Ona’s application was for assistance towards accommodation costs while living at the Massey University Halls: The Cube. Ona is passionate about pursuing a career in dance and will use her time at Te Auaha to further her dance experience in all styles and genres.
Airu Matsuda
Recent Graduate from the NZ School of Dance, Airu applied to the Peacocke Dance Trust for funding to create and rehearse a full-length dance work called H.Y.P.E that will be performed at the Fringe Festival, BATS theatre in Wellington, March 2022. Airu has cast both current and recently graduated students from the Wellington based School of Dance, providing opportunities for dancers to be part of a professional performance.
Grace Bilbie
Grace applied to the Peacocke Dance Trust for assistance towards attending the Ettingshausens Studio to study a Certificate in Dance. Grace is continuing her love of dance in Australia for the 2022 school year.
Stella Byers
Currently studying abroad in Germany at the Palucca Hoschule fur Tanz, Dresden. Stella is in her second year of a three-year Bachelors degree in dance. The support from the Peacocke Dance Trust is for the cost of accommodation while studying in Germany.
Bella Wilson
Nominated by Zoe Nicholson, Bella is a contemporary choreographer who with the financial assistance of the Peacocke Dance Trust will create her first full length work called STRUCTURE. Bella’s work includes 16 dancers, 12 of whom are recent graduates, creating an opportunity for the graduates to learn and grow and be welcomed into the world of professional dance throughBella's work.
Keira Hall
Kiera was accepted to study at the prestigious Academie Princesse Grace in Monoco, the support towards her studies from the the Peacocke Dance Trust was for boarding school fees.
Grace Davies
Nominated by her dance teacher at Tauhara College, Grace's choreography spotlights the important topics of racism, respect and inclusion within our community. With the support of the Peacocke Dance Trust and inspired by Tame Iti’s Ted talk about Mana, Grace taught, rehearsed and staged her work at a local venue in Taupo.
Harry Ashton- Ireland
Harry has been accepted to train at the Dutch National Ballet Academy (Amsterdam) in their Associate Degree Programme for the 2021-2022 European academic year, assisted by funding from the Peacocke Dance Trust. Attending this school has been a dream for Harry, who has followed both the academy and company for years and loves their diverse repertoire and training style.

Tabitha Dombroski
The Peacocke Dance Trust supported the creation of a new work by emerging New Zealand choreographer Tabitha Dombroski. The work will be performed as part of the NZ School of Dance 2021 Graduation Season.
Emerald Jackson
Emerald's dream to promote a passion of dance with up and coming dance generations has been realised through the Peacocke Dance Trust providing the necessary funding for Emerald to study the teachers training course through the Royal Academy of dance.
Sofija Milic
Sofija is pursuing her passion and commitment to contemporary dance at the NZ School of Dance in Wellington. Assisted by the Peacocke Dance Trust Sofija will complete her first year of the full time course in 2021.
Meba Eistedffodd Dancers
X Factor performances were celebrated at the Meba Eistedffodd dance competition in September 2020. The following dancers were awarded funding as a contribution towards continuing their studies, Tap; Toni Aimer and Emily Cooper. Ballet; Lauren Wycherley and Paris-Lily Foster and Jazz; Ruby Ryburn and Ava Schaumkel
Jadyn Arriola Bagayas
Recipient of the Peacocke Dance Trust funding assisted Jayden to continue her full time study at the Ballet Academy East in New York City, for the 2020-2021 calendar year.
Pacifica
Recipient of the Peacocke Dance Trust funding in July 2020 enabled the producers to secure choreographer Neil Ieremia and the Black Grace Dance Company’s participation in the development of the dance and movement elements for the show. VIEW VIDEO
